I’m a southern girl, I grew up in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. I have both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in music theory and composition from the University of Tennessee. Sometime around my sophomore year of college I built my own computer. Shortly after that I took over the Musicology Club’s website. By the time I started my master’s degree I was a student assistant for the Office of Information Technology and I had found WordPress. There was no going back. I built websites for work, family, and friends and eventually started taking on professional clients, many of whom are still with me today. In the past I’ve been employed as a web developer by summer camps, libraries, and universities, and I’m currently working as the Web and Cloud Services Manager for the College of Arts and Sciences at Case Western Reserve University.
For me, WordPress isn’t just a blogging tool. It empowers people.
